He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vermeire and Mary Vermeire (Dhaene); and his siblings, Elaine Waltz (Joe), MaryAnn Schnaar (Ernie) and Richard Vermeire.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Vermeire (Thooft) of Tyler; his children, Barb Berkenpas (Tony) of Marshall, MN, Glenda Werkman (Dan) of Tyler, Frank Vermeire (Brenda) of Yankton, SD, Kim Vermeire (Michele) of Marshall, MN, Carol Johnson (Todd) of Russell, MN and Colleen Houselog (Les) of Worthington, MN; and his siblings, Dennis Vermeire and Marlene Hoffman. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
