With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Olsvik of Two Harbors, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gust Gustafson and Esther Gustafson (Backlund); her husband John D. "Red" Olsvik; and her siblings, Eugene Gustafson and Marion Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Ojard (Rich), Barbara Staffon (Alec), Sally Murphy (Dana), Amy Mehl and Julie Olsvik-Santero (Chris); her grandchildren, Nels, Bjorn Ojard, Amanda Yadav, Leif Staffon, Ryan, Danielle Murphy, Jesse Weideman, Clint Glenn and Lindsey Olson; her sister Violet Smalley; and her sister-in-law Gwenne Gustafson. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Two Harbors Public Library or the Lutheran Church of your choice.
