She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Brown and Agnes Brown (Nyfors); and her son Carl Frederick Peterson. She is survived by: her former husband Carl Dewane Peterson; her stepdaughter Karin "Chicki"; her daughters, Tina Trihey (Dwight Porter) of Oronoco and Karin Harris (Steve) of Knife River, MN; her grandchildren, Jason Trihey (Casey Wilson) of Rochester and Carly Loewen (Erik) of Minneapolis; her siblings, Marcia Brown of New York City, NY and Mark Brown (Sue) of Shakopee, MN; her niece Sara Brown Zembrodt (Rob); and also Mark Brown. She is also survived by 2 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
