It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Renae Hoekstra (Twin Valley, Minnesota), born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on December 29, 2018, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mervin Johnson and Clarice Johnson (Brateng); and her siblings-in-law, Gerald, Robert and Virginia.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis of Twin Valley; her daughters, Shantel "Shelly" Brevik (Todd) of Twin Valley, Kristen Erickson (Wade) of Fargo, ND and Marti Christenson (Brendan) of West Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Hailey Brevik (Ty Swiers), Kelsey Brevik (Austin Merkens), Skylar Brevik, Cole Erickson and Katelyn Erickson; her sister-in-law Letty Hoekstra; and her friend Linda Byzewski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Renae's honor.
