He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schultz and Lenora Schultz (Pries); his wife Berniece Borkenhagen; his in-laws, Alvin and Lorena Borkenhagen; his great great grandchild Rhett Garner; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Mogensen, Cap Rullman, Donald Kroells and George Tyrrell.
He is survived by: his children, Sonia Hoewisch (Daryl), Faith Sitzman (Robert) and Timothy Schultz (Lynn); his grandchildren, Danica Schieber (Chris Hayden), Andrew Schieber (Beth), Steven Sitzman (Rachael), Nathan Schieber (Alisha), Matthew Sitzman (Celeste) and Daric Sitzman (Katy); his great grandchildren, Alex, Roland and Juliet Stith; his grandchildren, Ariel, Judah, Zion Schieber, Winnifred, Lew, Reginald Sitzman, Christi, Gabriel, Elijah, Caspian Schieber, Malcolm and Eleanor Sitzman; his sisters, Janet Tyrrell, Arlys Rullman and Mary Golnitz (Darrell); and his sister-in-law Margie Kroells. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (110 E 4th St N, Truman, MN 56088).
Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran School and to Martin Luther High School.
