He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Kahler and S. Lavina Kahler (Ballentine); his siblings, Lester Kahler, Harold Wood, Robert Wood and Ione Gray; and his nieces and nephews, Robert Wood, Dennis Gray, Dean Gray, Darla Vilt (Wood) and Donna Reinke (Gray).
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Payne; his children, David Kahler (Tonia) and Linda Mohwinkel (Cleon); his grandchildren, Tamsen, Danielle, Rhett and Matt; and his great grandchildren, Ben, Nathan, Ryder, Kennedy, Ayrabella, Zane and Lincoln.
