He was predeceased by: his mothers, Caryl Berhow and Florence Berhow (Baker); his wife ShirleyAnn Berhow; his siblings, Duane, Richard "Dick" and Kathy; his granddaughter Yvonne; his siblings-in-law, Merle Dean Baarts (Lorna), Sam Weiseman, Wes Bakken and Norine; and his parents-in-law, Wilhelm and Irene Baarts.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Nancy Jo Garrison; his children, Juanita Heckman, Keith Berhow (Peggi), Bryan Berhow (Julie), Brad Berhow (Teresa) and Nancy Jo's; his grandchildren, Michael Heckman (Stacy), Kayleen Fitzloff (Cory), Dustin Heckman (Lynn), Joshua Berhow (Alexis), Kayla Federiuk (Joshua), Brianna Feuster (Colin), Shawna Berhow, Daniel Berhow, Steven Berhow (Tyra), ChaseLee Berhow (Madison), Matthew Berhow (Erica) and RaeAnn Wiederhoeft (Darin); his siblings, Ardis Weiseman, Carol Holt (Rodney), Roger Berhow (Sue), Darwin Berhow (Jackie), Kenny Berhow (Vickie), Arlo Berhow (Donna), Gary Berhow (Julie) and Mickie Berhow; and also, Stacy Christianson (Dan) and Hattie Rollag (Chris). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; 22 great grandchildren with one more on the way; 1 great-great grandchild.

Memorials are preferred to Truman Church of Christ, Truman Community Building renovation, or to United Hands Hospice.
