He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Russenberger and Myrtle "Gohr" Russenberger; his brother-in-law Kenneth Schwarz; and his siblings, LaVonne Dunker (Otto), Dennis Russenberger (Lana) and John Russenberger.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Russenberger of Becker, Minnesota; his son Gerald Russenberger Jr. of Becker, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Melissa Ann Russenberger and Brian R. Russenberger; his sister Marlyce Schwarz of Mankato, Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Alice Russenberger of Royal, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
