He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy "Pete" and Alice Porter; and his siblings, Donna, Patrick and Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Porter of Tintah; his children, Shawn Porter (Julie) of Hermantown, Minnesota and Kathrine Bosworth (Roman) of Glendive, Montana; his brother Duane Porter (Marcy) of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Debbie Porter of Tintah, Minnesota. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
