Rose Marlene Schmitz Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Marlene Schmitz of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on March 26, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kraft and Elizabeth Kraft (Wald); her husband John Schmitz; her daughter Anne; her granddaughter Cassandra; her siblings, John, Leonard, Bill, Jerry, Betty and Sister Lorraine Kraft; and her in-laws, Don Atkinson, Bill Henry, Bill Page and Sandy Kraft.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Schmitz of Warroad, MN, Margo Schmitz, Brent Schmitz (Sabrina) of Devils Lake, ND and Karen Schmitz of New Hope, MN; her grandchildren, Jordan, Cambreigh and Braden; her great grandchild Kyrie Bates; her siblings, Mary Ann Christopherson, Kenneth Kraft (Eileen), Kathy Henry, Karen Atkinson, Rita Pigarelli, Angie Kraft, James Kraft (Lois) and Ron Kraft (Karen); and her in-laws, Faye Kraft, Joanne Kraft and Sally Kraft. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Bernard's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
