He is survived by: his wife Lois Johnson; his sons, Kurt Philipp and Steve Philipp (Renae); his grandchildren, Hannah Seeger (Cole), Sam Pahlen (Kayla), Ben Pahlen (Kelly), Greta Philipp and Richard Philipp; his great grandchildren, Jace, Halle and Abby Seeger; his grandchildren, Timmy, Ivy Pahlen, Navy and Peyton Pahlen; and his siblings, Wally Philipp (Thelma) and Gloria Blazina (Ken). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service (420 Labree Ave, Thief River Falls, MN 56701). A prayer was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church-Rural Thief (22023 150th St NE, Thief River Falls, MN 56701).
