He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shaffer and Ella Shaffer (Johnson); his siblings, Norm Shaffer (Mary), Kenny Shaffer (Joan), Bob Shaffer and Lee Etta Lastine (Jim); and his brother-in-law Phil Leggett.
He is survived by: his wife Tami Canfield; his daughter Sara Shaffer (Chanel) of Three Forks, MT; his sister Edith Leggett of Salem, OR; his sister-in-law Karen Shaffer of Naples, FL; and his close friend Steve Hook. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
