He was predeceased by: his parents, George C. Swanson and Katherine Swanson (Anton); his sons, Kevin Alan Swanson and Brad Lauren Swanson; his wife Patty; his siblings, Chester (Janet), Lenord (Marcie), Eleanor, Lylian "Mickey" (Chuck Richards), Donnie (Cerise), Cliff, Dennis and Leslie (Bernie); and his brother-in-law Lyle BJorge.
He is survived by: his sister Sharon Bugge (Neil); his siblings-in-law, Shirley Swanson, Corine Bjorge, Carolyn Haugen (Chuck Larson) and Craig Torkelson (Sally); and his niece Talli Swanson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, including great and great-great nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Service - Thief River (105 Governor St, Oklee, MN 56742). A prayer will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Service (420 Labree Ave, Thief River Falls, MN 56701).
