He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Torkelson and Helen Torkelson (Wiken); his wives, Dorothy Hass and Darlene A. Laing of Milwaukee, WI; and his siblings, Francis Marion Torkelson, Willis Torkelson, Geraldine Guerard (Theodore), Wahna Smith and Ivette Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Hass, Jr. (Mary), Sophya Sandrajean Rose, Nancy Wranovsky (Scott) and LoriKay Glowinski; his stepchildren, Fredrick Hass (Selena), Barbara Schultz (Gordon) and Susan Paasch (Thomas); and his siblings, Wallace Torkelson, Faye Auchenpaugh and Pamela Kittridge (Kevin). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Pauli Lutheran Church (11015 170th Ave NE, Thief River Falls, MN 56701).
