She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Mehrkens and Rodena Mehrkens (Van Lith); her husband Calvin Sorenson; her brother Roy Mehrkens; and her siblings-in-law, Lila Manderud (Albert), Kathy Mehrkens, Leroy Culkins, Raymond Culkins (Nellie) and Donavan Erlandson.
She is survived by: her daughter Carol Kolseth (Dale) of Plummer, MN; her granddaughter Lisa Schmitz (Cory) of Plummer, MN; and her siblings, Albert Mehrkens, Darrel Mehrkens (Sherry Sorenson) and Verla Erlandson. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Service - Thief River (105 Governor St, Oklee, MN 56742). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
