He is survived by: his wife Nancy Merila Benedict; his daughters, Sheri Hill (Martin) and Shelly Swanson; his stepchildren, Tim Benedict (Yvonne), Theresa Leveson (Steve) and Bill Benedict (Judy); his grandchildren, Kylie Evanoff (Matthew), Tyler Hofstad (Nancy), Justin Hofstad, Laura Hofstad, Kate Awsumb (Brian), Michael Benedict (Julie), Rachel Schaefer (Nick), Erinne Benedict and Christian Benedict; his great grandchildren, Addylee, Aurora, Ingrid, Erik, Ella and Max; and his siblings, Alan Swanson (Deb), Linda Zimmerman (Mickey), Anita Pietila and Sharon Knutsen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
