She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Degroat and Elvira Degroat (Oberdick); her husband Elton; her grandson Matthew; and her siblings, Floretta Swetland, Summery "Bud" Degroat, Willis "Woody" Degroat, Gloria Kuehl, Lyle Jr. Degroat, Timothy Degroat, Terry Degroat and Cindy Degroat.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Helle (Neal), Todd Hornseth (Mary), Prairie and Jesse Hornseth; her grandchildren, Stephen Sorenson (Alyssa), Joshua Sorenson, Connor Helle, Brooke Larson (Patrick), Maryn Hornseth, Jonah Hornseth and Grace Hornseth; her great grandchildren, Miles Larson and Clara Sorenson; and her siblings, Doris Straw (Tom), Geneva Geweke (Ray), Angeline "Angie" Boen (Chet), Caroline "Carrie" Nicholson (Don), Edith Huseby (Byron), Darlene Hynding (Larry) and Danniel Degroat. She is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
