He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Vad and Inga Vad (Geving); his wife Beulah Jane Stolaas; his siblings, LaVerne Vad and Arlene Mathson; and his siblings-in-law, Milo Sandeen, Barry Schmidt and Clarice Stolaas.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Dicken (Mitchell) of Brooklyn Park, MN; his grandchildren, Bryan Arveson, Craig Arveson, Alec Dicken (Melanie) and Alli Lyseng (Steven); his great grandchildren, Alea, Lindsey, Steven and Charlie; his siblings, Ione Nelson (Norman) of Oklee, MN, Betty Sandeen, Judy Schmidt of Texas, Audrey Hanson (Dave) of Gary, MN and Lynn Vad (Laurie) of Park Rapids, MN; and his brother-in-law Orlan Stolaas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
