Kaushagen and LaVonne Kaushagen Thune (Nelson); his stepfather Donald Thune; his grandparents, John, Amanda Nelson, Henry and Jenny Kaushagen; his sister Kristi Furuseth; his niece Lona Moen; his sister-in-law Larae Kaushagen; and his parents-in-law, Leonard and Doris Vondal.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Kaushagen; his stepchildren, Jenny Gayden, Sonya Carlson (Heather) and Jerod Carlson; his grandchildren, Yasmine Vondal-Gayden (Dominic), Taija Vondal-Gayden, JaVayla Vondal-Gayden, Emily Carlson, Mercedez Carlson and Ryker Oppegaard; his great grandchildren, Mary Mae Henline and Jasper Carlson; his siblings, Judy Olson (Richard), Luther Kaushagen (Beth), Daniel Kaushagen, Mary Jane Paradis (Roger), Mark Kaushagen (Cynthia) and Joy Kaushagen; and his siblings-in-law, Rita Whittaker (Mark), Bonnie Vondal and Leonard Vondal. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
