With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Melvin Holmaas of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on March 17, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stan Holmaas and Ruby Holmaas; his parents-in-law, Reuben and Amy Gunderson; and his cousin David Lindstrom.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his son Luke; his daughter-in-law Rachel Holmaas of Madison, WI.; his siblings, Marlene Rokke (Phil), Wanda Spading (Kevin) and Russ Holmaas (Vickie); and his siblings-in-law, Tim Gunderson, Dan Gunderson (Yvonne), David Gunderson (Karen) and Pat Williams (Mike). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

“I am sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. Our prayers are with the family and friends for comfort and peace at this time. Jerry was a good friend during my time I worked at AFLBS. We had many visits in his office as he tried to explain some of the Old Testament passages that I struggled with. He will be greatly missed by many. Only negative was he was a Packer fan but he never rubbed in the Packers Super Bowl victories vs the Vikings Super Bowl losses. Class guy. Dean Nelson”
