He was predeceased by: his father Orlie Sergius; his grandparents, Walter, Lily Rux, Donald and Evelyn Scott; and his uncles, Floyd Rux, Franklin Rux (Wendy), Delmer Rux (Gloria) and Clayton Rux (Jean).
He is survived by: his mother Donna Mae Rux (Scott); his siblings, Pam Hamilton, Duane Rux (Jane), DelRay Rux (Jackie) of Holt, MN and Susie Lerol; his nieces and nephews, Britney, Jacob, Josh, Shyanne, Cassandra and Majesta; his aunts and uncles, Lillian Rux (Betty Brownlee), Donnie Scott (Cheryl), Kenny Scott, Raymond Scott (Cindy), Red, Richard Scott (Micki), Wanda Schroeder (Clarence), June Olson (Cecil) and Viola Melvie (Erwin); and his friends, Shawn Johnson and Duane Kotrba.
