She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Sorenson and Agnes Sorenson (Anderson); her husband Earl Melvie; and her siblings, Bobby Peppin, Lloyd, Kermit, Virgil Sorenson and Corlan Kleinschmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Kjell Melvie (Dawn) of Centralia, Keith Melvie (Callie), Kay Tesch (Jim) of Goodridge, MN, Kari Grafstrom of Fargo, ND, Kim Nelson of Maplewood, MN and Kathi Abel of Lantana, FL; her grandchildren, Kirsten LaRoche (Josh), Shayne Melvie (Alison), Eli Melvie (April Johnson), Josie Melvie, Jamie Dale (Luke), Adam Grafstrom, Nicolas Grafstrom, Kimberly Grafstrom, Hans Grafstrom (Kyleigh), Bethany Nelson (Daniel Niebuhr), Michael Nelson (Christin Garske), Ryan Nelson (Hannah Stock), Alexandra Nelson (Emmanuel Garza), Daniel Peppin (Maggie), Rebekka Heinrich (Mason) and Lauren Hansen (Adam); and her sisters-in-law, Wavell Sorenson of Plummer, MN, Gloria Lee and Janice Lee (Arvid). She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
