He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Ornquist and Pearl Ornquist (Bjerk); his siblings, Avis Wallin (George), Dean Ornquist and Morlyn Ornquist; his son-in-law Mitch Bruggeman; his grandson Nick Bruggeman; his siblings-in-law, Al Kasprowicz, John Weiland and Marilyn Kasprowicz; and his parents-in-law, Mitchel and Dorine Franks.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, Julie Ornquist and Gregg Ornquist; his grandchildren, David Bruggeman and Kelsie Dicken; his great grandchildren, Andrew Bruggeman (Hannah Kujava) and Bella Dicken; his sister Carol Borkowski (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Fern Ornquist, Debbie Ornquist, Rovella Weiland, Mike Franks (Donna) and Robert Franks (Bernie). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (1300 Nora St E, Thief River Falls, MN 56701). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
