He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Laursen and Gladys Laursen (Spoor); his brother-in-law Kenneth Braaten; his parents-in-law, John and Edna Geske; his brothers-in-law, Harold Geske (Agnes) and Arnold Geske (Linda); and his nephew Brian Geske.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Geske; his children, Dale Laursen of Piedmont, OK and Cindy Glandorf (Dan) of Williamsburg, IA; his grandchildren, Heather Lane (Johnny) of Manhatten, KS, Matthew Laursen (Mackenzie), Aaron Laursen, Germany and Nate Glandorf of Williamburg, IA; his great grandchildren, Bella Lane, Cambri Lane, Reece Lane, Jackson Lane, Micah Laursen and Maddox Laursen; his sister Betty Braaten of Grand Forks, ND; and his brother-in-law Leonard Geske (Marge). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He retired from trucking at the age of 77 years when medical induced Parkinson's forced him into retirement.
