It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Sumerfelt of Taunton, Minnesota, born in Minneota, Minnesota, who passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bernardy and Minnie Bernardy (Goslar); her husband Lawrence Sumerfelt; her daughters, Mary Jane Sumerfelt and Susan Johnson; her grandchildren, Brooklynn Sumerfelt and Brian Thielges; and her son-in-law Glen Korman.
She is survived by: her children, Pat (Rollie Thielges), Rosann (Mike Schmitt), Tom (Marlys Sumerfelt), Joanie Korman, John (Chris Sumerfelt) and Tim (Janet Sumerfelt). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
