It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys M. Thompson of Swanville, Minnesota, who passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Cluever and Emilie Cluever (Daumke); her son John Thompson; and her sister Elnora Busacker. She is survived by: her husband Herbert Thompson; her sons, Mark Thompson (Tammie) of Prairie and Paul Thompson (Kimberly) of St. Cloud; her sister Verna Carlson; her grandchildren, Joy, Crystal, Jeynae, Mitchell, Kalley and Mason; and her great grandchildren, Kaiden, Vivienne, Charlie, Paige and Grace.

In lieu of flowers, Gladys requested that you consider a donation to The Lutheran Hour, The Salvation Army, Food for the Poor, or The Gideons International.

“Even though we didn't see Gladys very often, she was one of my favorite cousins. We both shared having been teachers, and that gave us a common bond. My husband, Cary, and I hope to attend either the Memorial Service on Thursday or the funeral on Friday if that is permitted now due to the Covid virus. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
