He is survived by: his wife Dianne Traut; his children, Melissa Klose (Wayne), Alan Vavra (Kathi), Tama Larson (Daniel) and John Vavra (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Dustin Klose, Tony Klose, Breann Krogh (Lance), Alexander Vavra (Carmen), Kaitlyn Lee (Brandon), Austin Vavra, Jennifer Vlasak (Andrew), Devin Larson, Brockten Vavra and Brodie Vavra; his great grandchildren, Tayia Krogh, Harper Lee, Beckett Krogh, Baylor Vlasak, Watson Lee, Adley Krogh, Kaden Vlasak, Mason Lee and Vito Vavra; and his sister Karen Hoelker.
