He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Oscar Botten and Emma Botten (Hystad); his siblings, Kermit, Gaylon, Lester, Carl and Edna; and his siblings-in-law, Palmer, Luella, Paul, Pat Gafkjen and Florence.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Gafkjen; his children, Diane Suter (Tom), Donna Moe (David) and Rick Botten; his grandchildren, Tonie Dickmann, Erika Bitzan, Christopher Suter, Sarah Oeltjenbruns, Amanda Anderson and Jessica Botten; his sister Sandra Glimm; and his siblings-in-law, Joni Botten, Shirley Botten, Dean Janssen, Harlan Gafkjen and Ernest Gafkjen (Jan). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
