He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Zee and Wilma Van Zee (Drost); and his brothers, Rick, Arlie and Gary.
He is survived by: his significant other Carmen Faye DeRoo; his children, Todd Van Zee (Jayne) of Trimont, Kari Lundberg (Keith) of Redwood Falls and Troy Van Zee (Nancy) of Fargo; his grandchildren, Kayla Van Zee, Nathan Van Zee (Elle), Micah Van Zee (Sara), Tyler Lundberg (Amber), Zack Lundberg, Clara Patee, Brenden Lundberg (Chelsie), Jordan Van Zee and Tayler Van Zee; and his siblings, Joann Kannegieisser of Cyrus, Sheryl VerSteeg of Hancock, Kathy Armstrong of Fergus Falls and Brad Van Zee of Glenwood. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
