He was predeceased by: his son Spencer Steere; his parents, Ernest Fick-Steere (Augusta Fick-Steere) and Augusta Fick-Steere; his siblings, Herbert (Viola Steere), Gladys (John Junker) and Ruth (Lawrence Smith); and his siblings-in-law, Cletus and Mary Lou Jackels.
He is survived by: his children, Nathan and Darci; his wife LeAnn Jackels of Windom; and his grandchildren, Peggy Steere (Alexa) of Houston, TX, Nathan, Tonya Steere (Sydney) of Austin, TX, Darci and Todd Wash (Alyssa) of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
