He was predeceased by: his parents, William Claugherty and Genevieve Claugherty (Nadeau). He is survived by: his wife Sally Claugherty of Beroun; his sons, Rick Claugherty of Stillwater, Michael Claugherty of Pine City and Scott Claugherty of Pine City; his grandchildren, Tasia Nelson of Pine City, Kayla Claugherty of Circle Pines and Julie Nybeck (Mike); his great grandchildren, Aubrianna, Landon, Eli Nelson, Jaxson and Jon Nybeck; and his siblings, Dennis Claugherty (Darlene) of Harris, Donny Claugherty, Tim Claugherty, Colleen Christy (Chester) and Bob Claugherty (Lucy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Swanson Funeral Chapel (665 3rd Ave SW, Pine City, MN 55063). A Mass will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (555 8th St SW, Pine City, MN 55063).
