He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo Misgen and Genevieve Misgen of Faribault; and his siblings, Raymond Misgen, Candice Braun and Robert Misgen (Ruth).
He is survived by: his wife Janet Misgen; his sister Marilyn Schema (Charles); his children, John Misgen (Sharon) of Scandia, Kathleen Dorwart (Andrew) of Stillwater and Thomas Misgen (Rebecca) of Mercer, WI.; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dorwart, Cassandra Bopp (Nathan), Michael Misgen, Matthew Dorwart and Luke Dorwart; and his great grandchildren, Melanie Bopp and Gustavo Dorwart.
This award is given to a pharmacist for making major contributions to the practice of hospital pharmacy in Minnesota.
