He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Doerr and Carl Doerr. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Lyle Jr., Larry (Evie), Jonathan and Jocelyn Fahrendorff (Jon); his grandchildren, Kaylyn (Eric), Alex (Savannah), Zachary (Natalie), Justin, Joshua and Ryan; his sister Lois Hemenway; and his sisters-in-law, Audrey and Jan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials are preferred to Salem Lutheran Church, the Washington County Historical Society, or donor's choice.
