He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Nils Vorland and Sarah Vorland (Heggen); his siblings, Mildred, Alvina, Sanford and Earl; and his daughter Cathy Donnelly (Michael) of Melbourne, Australia.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce (Yuri), Keith (Joan) and Andy (Yukari); his grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas of Australia, Erika, Maia, Noa, Kai and Mia; and his great grandchildren, Isabella and Asher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
