He was predeceased by: his wife Janet; his parents, George Barnholdt and Nellie Barnholdt; and his siblings, Fred Barnholdt (Fritz), Helen Moen and Ella O'Connell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl McKenzie (Ron), Dawn Briggs (Bob), Becky Muellner (Scott) and Teri Barnholdt (Dan); his grandchildren, Chad Rogness (Jen), Melissa Noren (Brent), Leisha Olson (Doug), Jamie Thoen (Sam), Emily Mack (Justin) and Clay McKenzie (Diane); his great grandchildren, Carter Rogness, Charli Rogness, Makenna Noren, Briggs Noren, Nate Mack and Tucker Mack; and his sister Ruthie Brookman.
