He was predeceased by: his father Alvin Soukup; his parents-in-law, Milton and Bonita Sande; and his brother-in-law Greg Sande. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn Soukup; his wife Lori; his children, Maggie Adair (Wesley) and Sam Soukup (Mackenzie); his grandchildren, Henrik Adair, Harper and Hayes Soukup; his siblings, Mike Soukup (Shelley), Kathy Cicora (Joe), Nancy Tufto (Kris), Greg Soukup (Dawn) and Scott Soukup (Annie); and his sisters-in-law, Betsy Sande and Kari Oseth (Guy). He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.
