He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heinert and Flora Heinert (Kaiser); his wife Darlene Peed; his daughter Sheri Walkling; and his sister Shirley Bahr.
He is survived by: his daughter LeAnn Schubauer (Matt) of Rio Vista; his grandchildren, DeAnn Saenz (Joseph) and Cassie Christensen (Dustin); his daughter Melinda Otto (Jim) of Stewartville; his grandchildren, Hannah, Nick, Emilee and Olivia Otto; his son John Heinert (Rosie) of Spearfish; his grandchildren, Thomas and Ryan Heinert; his son Dean Heinert of Pittsburg; his grandchildren, Becca and Dean Heinert; his son-in-law Vance Walkling of Fremont, NE; his grandchildren-in-law, Brandi Bennett and Branden Walkling (Mallory); his siblings, Helen Howe (Larry) of Bradenton and Jim Heinert (Irene) of Sturgis; and his great grandchildren, Samantha, Makaela, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Isaac, Ezekiel, Christopher, Brantley and Benjamin.
