Robert W. Bergland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert W. Bergland of Stewartville, Minnesota, born in Clearbrook, Minnesota, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Bergland and Dorothy Bergland (Huff); his daughter Jan Schmitz; and his siblings, Elaine McKay, Gloria Danielson and Richard Bergland.

He is survived by: his wife Diane M. Pratt; his children, Joy Jacobson (Dan) of Fargo and Dan Bergland (Kathy Gallagher) of Flagstaff; his son-in-law Mark Schmitz (Bonnie) of Stewartville; his stepchildren, Kristin Zimmerer (Bill) of Venice and Kevin Pratt (Jen) of Hugo; his grandchildren, Matthew Jacobson (Maddie), Rev. Benjamin Jacobson (Alyssa), Rachel Pulling (Jeremy), Kai Bergland, Torrey Bergland, Tyler Schmitz (Stephanie), Meghan Coert (Logan), Allison Schmitz (Chye Stecher), Zach, Kailyn, Sophia and Nora Pratt; and his great grandchildren, Henry, Finn, Eleanor and Mabel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
