He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Schultz and Leone Schultz (Soland); and his brothers-in-law, Richard Erickson, Stephen Knox and Orville Matzke.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Shawn Krogstad (Erik) of Rochester, Melissa Smidt (James) of Rochester and Trevor Schultz (Jessica) of Lake City, MN; his grandchildren, Brandon Schultz (Lexi Faro), Sydney Krogstad, Devin Krogstad, LeeAnne Smidt, Andrew Smidt, Teven Smidt-Thomas, Morgan Smidt, Catherine Schultz and Evan Schultz; his great grandchildren, Anikan, Aurora, Ariel, Adelynn, Ava and Jackson; and his siblings, Sonja Erickson (Carol Hahn), Lois Matzke of Stewartville, Nina Yunker (Kenton) of Lewiston, Mont, Alice Knox (Gloria Liebenow) of Kasson and Gary Schultz (Patricia) of Canton, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
