He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nitz and Ethel Nitz; and his siblings, Curtis Nitz and Cheryl Young. He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Bigelow; his wife Kathy Harris; his children, Autumn Hampton (Dontae), Tacy Nitz, Brandon Nitz (Denise) and Jennifer French; his grandchildren, Zachary, Mason, Desira, Alex, Kaitlyn, Zenovia, Brynnleigh and Athena; and his brothers, David Vacek, Lathel and Lonnie Young.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the family.
