He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Carlson and Anna Carlson (Heddan); his wife Marilyn Hanson; his grandson Ben; his children, Douglas (Kathy) of Alvarado, MN, James of Bausette, MN, Renae Pauly (Tom) of Zimmerman, MN, Lenae "Gi" Addabbo (Steve) of Grafton, ND, Lori Estad (Blaine) of Grafton, ND and Heidi Dumas (Richard) of Grafton, ND; his siblings, Curtis Carlson (Donna) and Marlys Kennedy (Robert) of Manvel, ND; his grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Kira, Benjamin, Jenna, Ryan, Kelsi, JT, Meredith, Madeline, Maxwell and Jackie; his great grandchildren, Brooks and Jack; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Edith Hanson; and his brother-in-law William "Bill" Hanson.
