With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Holten (Starbuck, Minnesota), who passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold and Rachel Holten (Norby); his grandson Scott Gerald Johnson; his great grandchild Johnathon Thomas-Gerald Johnson; and his brothers, Ray and Otto Holten.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Holten of Starbuck; his children, Bruce Holten (Sue) of Starbuck, Bobbi Jo Johnson (Terry) of Glenwood and Brenda Christian of Richfield; his grandchildren, Derek Holten (Tiffany) of Starbuck, Justin Holten (Linsey) of Mapleton, ND, Cory Holten (Abby) of Mapleton, ND, Tanner Holten (Lauren) of Crookston, Kelsey Johnson of Nashville, TN, Katie Anderson of Glenwood, Cody Christian of Richfield and Ahna Christian of Richfield; his great grandchildren, Asher, Lennon, Hayes, Bode, Henley, Collins, Cooper, Briar, Lynden Holten and Adalynn Johnson; his siblings, Arlene Stoneburg, Priscilla Loen, Barbara Owen, Jean Goehring and Kenny Holten; and his sister-in-law Carol Holten. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Fron Lutheran Church, Minnewaska Lutheran Home or Holly Ridge.
