He was predeceased by: his mother Patricia Schmidtbauer (Janowsky); his son Tyler Schmidtbauer; his grandparents, Edwin, Jane Jankowsky, Leo and Eleanor Schmidtbauer; and his great-nephew Kayden Hansen.
He is survived by: his father Leon Schmidtbauer (Gayla); his grandchild Cydney; and his siblings, Lorie Hansen (Ardyn) and Mark Schmidtbauer (Jacqui). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
