With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Schmidt of Staples, Minnesota, born in Morris, Minnesota, who passed away on July 27, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lolan Schmidt (Trudy) and Mabel Schmidt (Koons); his grandsons, Brent and Mandel Ferrian; and his sons-in-law, Ed Ferrian, Greg Coklas and Larry Berens.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Sterger; his children, Roxana Berens, Debra Coklas, Diane Poppenga (Peter Parsons), Janet Heck (Jeffrey), Valerie Elifrits (Chris Brotherton), Todd Schmidt (Sandra) and Mark Schmidt; and his stepsister Jenny Tressik (Vic). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
