He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry H. Peters and Marie Peters (Duerksen); his wife Lois Kintzi; and his brothers, Marvin, Ted and Harry.
He is survived by: his daughter Betty Moore (John Sr.); his grandchildren, Tiffany Schmidthuber (Jared), Jamie Retka (James) and John Jr.; his great grandchildren, Haylee Moore, Isabella, Savannah Richmond, Lincoln, Jefferson Schmidthuber and Gavin Moore; his great great grandchild Harper Gottberg; his sister-in-law Phyllis Peters; and his friend Randy Richmond.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
