She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Laing and Olive Laing; her husband Richard; her son-in-law Terry Backus; her siblings, Robert, Bernie Laing, Harriet Cash and Ruth Klis; and her brothers-in-law, Henry Cash, Richard Klis and Neal Roman.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Backus, Blake Roman and Rawn Roman (Toni); her grandchildren, Alissa Nelson (Jason), Matthew Backus (Cindy), Brianna Oliverius (Eric), Robert Roman (Athena), Ashley Cvijetinovic (Boris) and Mady Roman; her brother Fritz Laing (Shirley); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Laing and Donna Roman. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, loving relatives and friends.
Memorials preferred to St Charles Borromeo Church or The Serra Club of North Minneapolis.
