He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bast and Arleen Bast (Schwartz); his daughter Susanne; and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his uncle Melvin Krueger; his former wife Frances Wildman; his nephew Kurt; his wife Fran; his daughters, Christi May and Dianna Nafe (Bob); and his brother Kelvin (Char). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or to an organization of choice. .
