James Pietz Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Pietz of Springfield, Minnesota, who passed away on July 9, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Pietz and Myrtle Pietz (Rue); his siblings, Kenny, Donald (Lois), Robert (Marion) and Donna Hitzen (David); and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Ann Pietz and Francis McDaniel.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Rethwill (Sellner) of Springfield; his stepdaughter Kristi Scheffler (Mike) of Sanborn; his stepgrandchildren, Kendall Koep (Chris) of Alexandria, Cooper Scheffler (Samantha) of Sanborn and Decker Scheffler of Sanborn; his stepgreat-grandchild Crew Koep; and his siblings, Kermit Pietz of Golden Valley, MN and Shirley Jean McDaniel of Layton, UT. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
