He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kotten and Theckla Kotten (Ruffing); his wife Florence Schweiss; his siblings, Viola Watkins, Bernice Wittrock, Sylvester Kotten, Marie Jones and Iona; and his sons-in-law, Ben Dannheim and Gerald Suhr.
He is survived by: his children, Victor Kotten (Betty) of Albany, MN, Arla Dannheim Suhr of Laporte, MN, Charlene Saari (Dan) of New Ulm, MN, Steven Kotten (Brenda) of Morgan, MN, Charles Kotten (Shelly) of Sleepy Eye, MN and Larry Kotten (Kathy) of Wentworth, SD; and his close friend Jerry Nachreiner. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
