He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Ahlness and Ida Ahlness (Wee); his daughter Vickie Nachreiner; his daughter-in-law Lisa Ahlness; his siblings, Hazel Oren, Alpha Thordson, Edna Miller, Vernon, Julian and Myron Ahlness; his stepsiblings, Richard, Oscar Ahlness, Steena Johnson and Lena Nelson; and his siblings-in-law, Adolph Oren, Ray Thordson, Walter Miller, Vernelle Ahlness, Violet Ahlness, Agnes Ahlness, Eddie Nelson and Joe Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Nadene Ahlness; his children, Cindy Krautkremer (Denny), Dave Ahlness (Joni), Leslie Hoffmann (Robert), Karen Krebs (Jerry), Darwin Ahlness and Bruce Ahlness (Shelly); and his son-in-law Leonard Nachreiner. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
